Stoke Lake (also known as St Mary's Lake, Alverstoke Creek and Little Anglesey Lake) is a semi-tidal lagoon at the head of the tidal Stoke Lake formed by the construction of a sill and sluice beneath Jackie Spencer's Bridge, this sill allowing retention of water in the creek at low tide.

The lake is situated within the Anglesey and Alverstoke Local Conservation Area and is the subject of three environmental designations: Ramsar; Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI); Special Protection Area (SPA).

The lake is bounded by Little Anglesey Road along its northern side, by private gardens along its southern side, by a stone retaining wall at its western edge and Jackie Spencer's Bridge at its eastern edge. There is access for casual boat, kayak and paddleboard users along Little Anglesey Road with more organised boating and kayaking taking place from the Broderick Hall and St Mary's Junior Sailing Club (SMJSC). Swimming is a popular summer pastime from the Jackie Spencer Bridge end with "crabbing" common on the sill beneath the bridge and from the stone wall at the western end.
